Spring-Summer 2026 League Formation
The league formation period is a critical step in preparing for a successful, player-centered season.
Player Registration & PlayMetrics
-
All players register once annually.
-
Current registration year: August 2025 – end of 2026 Spring–Summer season.
-
Returning fall players should already appear in your club level PlayMetrics account.
-
New players should be registered in PlayMetrics before team creation.
-
SMSL automatically invoices registration fees via PlayMetrics ($22 per competitive league player).
-
Club & Personnel Compliance and MYSA Membership
-
All clubs must maintain active Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) membership. Note: This has been an issue for some clubs in the past. Please verify your status with MYSA immediately to avoid delays, compliance violations,
or impacts on player safety processes.
-
Adult Background Checks
-
Required annually for all coaches, managers, and team personnel.
-
Submit through MYSA’s official process (via your club’s MYSA access).
-
MYSA invoices clubs directly ($20 per adult).
