SMSL Game Check-in and Score Reporting Protocol
1. Referees assigned to SMSL Games need to create a “US Soccer Connect” Account specific to SMSL. Other, existing or like accounts will not give you access to SMSL Games. To create and set up an SMSL Referee Account, go to “US Soccer Connect” Account.
a. ADULTS REFS - If you are an ADULT Referee you will need to create a NEW account. If you experience issues please call support
at 1-800-808-7195.
b. All YOUTH Referees will need a separate account to register. If you are a player or parent trying to register your child to become a YOUTH Referee you must create a NEW account here.“US Soccer Connect” Account.

2. Referees with schedule game numbers access and complete game reports here: SMSL Digital Player Card. Please save this page on your mobile device.
3. During the pre-game, please check in all players prior to play and report final scores, cautions and any other issues, immediately following the final whistle. This will update our standings instantly.
4. In the event of a lack of coverage or other issues preventing digital check-in and game reporting, a referee should go ahead and play the game with a “trust and verify” approach. Referees can trust the teams to have eligible rosters. Report the score and any issues via email to your club assignor and or to [email protected]. The SMSL will verify and follow up with each team.
5. Our goal is to make games days easy on all. We hope to have 100% of our games go paperless while trusting our members. We will address issues with eligibility when needed.
